The Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch (HSIB) was established by the Government in 2016. Headed by the Chief Investigator, it is tasked with carrying out independent safety investigations across the healthcare system in England. HSIB is hosted by NHSI but will maintain its independence both in the conduct and the reporting of its investigations.

The purpose of HSIB is to improve patient safety across the healthcare sector, by carrying out expert investigations to determine the causes of accidents and serious incidents, and to make safety recommendations intended to prevent recurrence and to improve safety across the healthcare system. It is not to apportion blame or liability. It will also seek to improve investigation practice across the system.

This is a role where you will be part of a dynamic team championing good quality investigation across the NHS.

The purpose of the Team Administrator role is to provide efficient and effective administrative business support to the specified team. This could include resolving day to day problems, organising meetings, filing and copying, managing correspondence, maintaining information or databases, taking notes and minutes of meetings, managing stationery supplies and other support activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering an administrative role in a comparable organisation, ideally the NHS or other healthcare organisation. They will have strong knowledge of administrative processes and procedures and be experienced in a range of computerised software packages ideally including MS SharePoint.

The team will look for excellent communication and time management skills with the ability to prioritise their own workload while working to tight deadlines.

The post can be offered as either a secondment or Fixed Term Contract for an initial period of 12 months, with a view to extend. This post will be based in Cody Technology Park, Farnborough.
