NHS England leads the NHS in England, setting the priorities and direction of the NHS and informing the national debate to improve health and care. We strongly believe in health and high quality care for all, now and for future generations and want everyone to have greater control of their health and wellbeing, and to be supported to live longer, healthier lives by high quality health and care services that are compassionate, inclusive and constantly-improving.

NHS England shares out more than £100 billion in funds and holds organisations to account for their spending. Our work involves the commissioning of health care services in England, and we support local health services that are led by Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs). We have devised and are delivering a strategic vision for the NHS, along with our partners in health, called the Five Year Forward View.

If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

We will not accept applications for this position by CV or via recruitment agencies.

The NHSBSA is responsible for the processing of your application; a privacy notice is attached to advise you on how we will process your personal data.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Administrator on a fixed term/secondment to 30th June 2019, to join our dynamic, European Cross Border Healthcare Team, based in Leicester.

The European Cross Border Team is a unique and autonomous national team managed by NHS England, Midlands & East (Central Midlands).

The team is responsible for NHS England application processes, for EEA funding, via the EU Directive and S2 funding routes. This is for NHS England patients who wish to exercise their rights, under current European and national legislation, to access routine and specialized healthcare in Europe and seek reimbursement, for eligible costs, from the NHS.

The Administrative Assistant role is a diverse one and includes:

  • Customer Service responsibilities: dealing with the public / applicants, responding to emails and telephone enquiries.
  • General administration: logging the post, managing post in and out, logging applications received on spreadsheets, filing, photocopying and archiving.
  • Supporting the team and Officers with Administrative work.

The team is a fast paced, dynamic team and has to work under pressure and to deadlines. This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, the ability to work with the general public in a calm and professional manner, and thoroughness / attention to detail.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to provide support for the above areas. If you are an experienced administrator and have experience of working in the NHS or a clinical setting, that would be very beneficial for the role.

If you feel you have the right experience and skills for the team and are able to consider this opportunity, then please apply.

Please also feel free to contact Craigie Morrison for a further conversation about the role on (0113 8250586) or email: angelique.morrison@nhs.net.

Closing date for applications: 25th July 2018

Interviews to be held at Fosse House Leicester on date 8th August 2018.
