If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

Would you like to join a team determined to be at the forefront of HR Technology and Analytics and lead the development of systems and improved processes, driving customer satisfaction and improving our understanding of our workforce?
The Workforce Systems Team is responsible for the management, development, deployment, improvement and internal helpdesk capabilities to support our staff and managers across the country to make best use of an array of workforce systems, information and reporting tools. By enabling the use of such systems and ensuring that there are lean, customer focussed processes to support these, the team seeks to enable people to operate in a smart, e-enabled manner which enhances productivity. Our current suite of workforce systems includes the national Electronic Staff Record (ESR) for the NHS, which is used to operate our core people and payroll related processes and transactions. This is also critical for our workforce and budgetary planning cycles, enabling the alignment of people, posts and functions with cost centres. We also have on-line systems supporting other processes incl. organisational change, Establishment Control and the maintenance of staff records built on Office 365 and Nintex.
As a Business Analyst within the Workforce Development Team you will support business change initiatives; promote innovation and integration across a range of workforce systems, and drive outcomes for our customers
You will work with stakeholders to define their business needs, elicit, validate, document and sign off their requirements. You will act as a vital link between business users and the development team to ensure that the requirements are properly understood, prioritised and aligned to proposed solutions.
Providing the capacity to support the requirements engineering process; ensuring that business requirements are delivered to a consistently high standard; you will help translate high level requirements into clear, concise and actionable deliverables.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have business analysis experience including a good understanding of the Project Lifecycle, Project Definition, scoping principles, the roles of different stakeholders in these environments and the importance of the BA role at each stage.
You will also need a high level of verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
Possessing excellent problem-solving skills, you will need to be proficient in constructing complex process and data models using mapping standards and software i.e. BPM, Visio
Applicants will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of analysing user needs, and translating them into solution requirements. They will also need strong analytical and negotiation skills and be able to work flexibly as part of a team, as well as on their own initiative.
