If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

As Senior Programme Lead for Community Pharmacy, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across NHS England.  The post holder will lead the provision of an efficient, effective and high quality professional and well-coordinated service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation.

The post holder will: 

  • Be responsible for operational work on pharmacy commissioning.
  • Implement settlements under the Terms of the Community Pharmacy Contractual framework including drawing up service specifications and documentation.
  • Provide high quality policy and strategy development across Primary Care Commissioning.
  • Have an external focus, working with and through regional directors and local teams.
  • Actively contribute to organisational development as appropriate to the role.

Please note that this post is fixed term or secondment until 31 March 2020.  The base is either Leeds or London but some flexibility may be considered on an individual basis. All post holders will be expected to be in Leeds and London on a regular basis for key corporate meetings and required to travel regularly throughout England.
