If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

The Population Health Management Support team are currently recruiting to a number of roles which will allow the team to more effectively support local health systems to develop and deploy Population Health Management capabilities.
The PHM Support team are part of the NHS England System Transformation Group (STG), a national team responsible for supporting local health systems to transform the way they deliver proactive, preventative, integrated care for patients.
In order to do this, Integrated Care Systems (ICS) will require access to a range of capabilities and technologies that enable them to understand their populations and manage Population Health more effectively, empower patients and transform their services. The Population Health Management team support ICS to understand and secure these solutions in a way that delivers value for the system. The team also work closely with other departments within NHS England, NHS Improvement, other Arm’s Length Bodies and the wider health system to support policy implementation.
To enable us to deliver this complex, challenging and innovative work we are seeking a range of subject matter experts, project management and project/business support roles to join our multi-disciplinary team. We are particularly interested, across these roles, in applicants with an understanding of how digital solutions, innovative technologies and specialist capabilities (shared care records, advanced analytics, personalised care coordination, clinical decision support, tele-health) are being used to improve quality of care, empower clinicians, enhance patient experience and deliver population health management in systems, along with experience and an interest in supporting the drive for integrated care.
This current vacancy relates to the role of Commercial and Programme Manager. The Commercial and Programme Manager will support the successful management, oversight and reporting across the full programme of work delivered by the PHM Support team.
The role will also lead on a number of specific projects and will provide effective Commercial oversight to the running of the Health Systems Support Framework, a procurement Framework providing access to tools, technologies and specialist capabilities within the market.
The role will form part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering a high-profile programme in a fast-paced environment.
Working closely with all team members and leading project support staff, key activities of the role include:
- Ensuring the monitoring, co-ordination and timely reporting of key team activities;
- Deploying successful project management techniques for the successful management of projects, activities and risks;
- Support for the effective management of programme budgets, income generation activities and release of central funding to systems;
- Support to commercial activities for the successful deployment, management and development of the Health Systems Support Framework.
Interviews for this role are expected to be held late November in Leeds/London depending on applicant location.
