If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

Stakeholder and Nursing Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Primary Care Digital Transformation (PCDT) team within NHS England, on a fixed term or secondment basis, as a Stakeholder and Nursing Manager.
The Primary Care Digital Transformation (PCDT) Team, works within the broader Operations and Information Directorate at NHS England. It encompasses General Practice Information Technology (GP IT) and GP Online Services. A key aim is to enable transformation in general practice, using technology and data to drive a sustained improvement in quality, safety and efficiency to benefit both patients and professionals.
The PCDT programmes support both the general practice of today and tomorrow, with achieving the objectives set out in the NHS 5 Year Forward View and subsequent GP Forward View.
As a Stakeholder and Nursing Manager the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service, supporting managers and staff across Primary Care Digital Transformation and Primary Care Policy.
The role will provide guidance and leadership to two key functions of PCDT,
- Stakeholder engagement with citizens, professionals and subject matter experts
- Development of practice nurse involvement in digital initiatives and a practice nurse role as a champion of digital transformation in primary care
Key successes will be
- Manage the joint PCDT and Empower the Person Stakeholder forum
- Manage the PCDT digital nurse function ensuring that practice nurses are championed and included in the digital agenda
- Develop successful working relationships with counterparts in the Royal College of Nurses (RCN), NHS England and other NHS bodies.
The role is designed to combine subject matter expertise and technical skills in engagement but also communications to ensure strong service delivery.
