As a programme manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the NHS in England responsible for introducing this new and ground-breaking talent development scheme. The post-holder will have responsibility for one of two key programme delivery areas:

  • Design of the scheme i.e. selecting and assessing onto the scheme, participant development offer modelling the 70:20:10 approach
  • Operational testing of the scheme i.e. running a full advertisement, selection/assessment and onboarding of 20 participants per site

The postholder is responsible for providing professional expertise to the outcome of the business processes for the Department or Directorate.

The post holder will define current processes, facilitate discussions and advise colleagues as to how best practice might be adopted in the definition of future processes, document those processes as they are agreed and oversee their delivery.

The post holder will be required to undertake regular travel frequent travel to pilot sites and other national meetings throughout the UK.

Please note that the reason for the fixed term contract is due to short-term project due to funding
