If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

North Region Specialised Commissioning Team - North West Hub
Pharmacist - Band 7
12 Month Fixed Term Post (Maternity Cover)
37.5 hours per week
We are looking to recruit an experienced individual to work with our specialised commissioning teams in the North West hub. The post is open to registrants of the General Pharmaceutical Council (i.e. pharmacists or pharmacy technicians) and will be based in Regatta Place, Liverpool respectively.
The North Specialised Commissioning team spends around £1bn each year on high-cost medicines at over 50 acute Trusts and has an active programme to validate and monitor costs each month.
This post is key to developing this work and will involve data analysis and presentation. Applicants should be familiar with handling diverse data sets and the general approaches to data handling and analyses. Competence with Microsoft Excel is crucial. Roles are generally office and computer based, although there will be a requirement and opportunities to attend local, regional (North) and national meetings and events. Reporting to the hub’s Lead Pharmacist, you will be an integral part of a diverse team with responsibilities for projects that will impact across the NHS and ensure high cost drugs are prescribed in a manner that complies with the relevant NHS England policies.
