The Deputy Head of Supplier Management is the contracting technical lead and owner of the expertise to provide contracting solutions to support the specialised commissioning and STP agenda. The post holder will work as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team to deliver the operational requirements for specialised commissioning in the North Central London locality. The post holder will line manage the contracts team and be a senior leader within the MDT supporting the delivery of objectives, working through our team, supporting and developing the team. Contracting solutions to STP priorities such as CIPs and QIPPs will be a big feature of the role, looking at the contract as an enabler to support STP priorities. Performance management of the contract portfolio will be robust and pragmatic to ensure best use of the contracting budget, and to ensure that contract spend is within agreed budgets. Leading on a work stream such as renal or cardiology using commissioning and contracting skills to help develop models of care, to support London wide solutions to delivery care that is timely, is efficient and effective. Supporting the contracts domain lead with challenge processes; and the QIPP domain lead with development of schemes and QIPP programmes. Maintains effective, open and clear communication with STP, CCG and provider partners as we work within the STP approach, being open to new ways of working as the STP evolves. Maintains key relationships with other specialised commissioning regions, the national team; the highly specialised team, learning from best practice and innovative ways of working, and how this might be applied in London and the NCL locality
