If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

NHS England (London Region) is seeking to recruit a Senior Management position within the Financial Management Team on a permanent basis.
Head of Commissioning Finance (8d).
The post-holder will engage with a range of senior stakeholders across organisational boundaries whilst overseeing the day to day running of the finance agendas and management accounts. This is a delivery driven, fast-paced role, providing excellent financial management in support of NHSE Commissioning and Financial Management strategies. You will manage a small team, so you will need to lead from the front, support others where necessary and ensure financial best practice is promoted across the finance function, particularly around reporting and controls.
- Track record of operating in a Senior finance position within the NHS
- Qualified Accountant.
- Excellent organisational skills when working across a number of conflicting priorities
- Excellent engagement skills, building relationships
- Politically aware, able to navigate the usual competing challenges
- Delivery focussed, willing to go the extra mile for the work at hand
