If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

Corporate Diversity and Inclusion Manager (Band 8b)
The Corporate Diversity and Inclusion team was established to support NHS England’s responsibilities as an employer and to develop good practice programmes to improve the working lives of our diverse workforce. Following an initial recruitment process, staff were appointed to these roles on a secondment basis in November 2017. In accordance with our recruitment policies, these roles are being advertised to allow open competition for the substantive roles in the Diversity and Inclusion team.
These national roles will require travel.
The Corporate Diversity and Inclusion Manager will work with the Head of Diversity and Inclusion to develop and implement our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and Action Plan. This will include producing board level reports and deputising for the Head of Diversity where appropriate.
The successful candidate will play a lead role in supporting compliance with the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index to measure progress on lesbian, gay, bi and trans inclusion. The post holder will be responsible for supporting progress on Disability Confident Employer standards and the Workforce Disability Equality Standard. The role will involve oversight and project management of the Diversity and Inclusion decision making groups as well as taking lead responsibility for liaison with the LGBT+, Disability and Wellbeing and Women’s staff networks across NHSE and NHSI.
