If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

Diversity and Inclusion Adviser (Band 7)
The Corporate Diversity and Inclusion Adviser will work with key stakeholders, to ensure we have robust information, metrics, data and reporting in place which helps drive improvement in diversity and inclusion.
The role will involve development and continuous improvement of fair and transparent recruitment, retention and development practices in NHS England and NHS Improvement including implementing our Equality Diversity Representatives programme.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Diversity to support compliance with the Workforce Race Equality Standard, Equality Delivery System and the Race at Work charter. The role will involve oversight, project management and evaluation of Diversity and Inclusion pilot programmes as well as taking lead responsibility for liaison with the Black and Minority Ethnic and Carers staff networks.
The Corporate Diversity and Inclusion team was established to support NHS England’s responsibilities as an employer and to develop good practice programmes to improve the working lives of our diverse workforce. Following an initial recruitment process, staff were appointed to these roles on a secondment basis in November 2017. In accordance with our recruitment policies, these roles are being advertised to allow open competition for the substantive roles in the Diversity and Inclusion team.
These national roles will require a travel.
