NHS England leads the NHS in England, setting the priorities and direction of the NHS and informing the national debate to improve health and care. We strongly believe in health and high quality care for all, now and for future generations and want everyone to have greater control of their health and wellbeing, and to be supported to live longer, healthier lives by high quality health and care services that are compassionate, inclusive and constantly-improving.

NHS England shares out more than £100 billion in funds and holds organisations to account for their spending. Our work involves the commissioning of health care services in England, and we support local health services that are led by Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs). We have devised and are delivering a strategic vision for the NHS, along with our partners in health, called the Five Year Forward View.

If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

We will not accept applications for this position by CV or via recruitment agencies.

North Region Specialised Commissioning Team - Cumbria and North East Hub

Network Implementation Manager

AFC Band 7

Fixed Term Post until 30 September 2019

37.5 hours per week

As a Network Implementation Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting senior managers and staff across the North East and Cumbria Team and the wider commissioning. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain first-hand experience and understanding of specialised commissioning within the NHS, at a patient level, system level and nationally.

As the NHS develops a place-based approach to commissioning we need to ensure that high quality effective specialised services are available to local populations, evidenced by recognised clinical standards, good outcomes and equality of access.

We are looking to the Network Implementation Manager to help support these principles within our commissioning team; to do this the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate knowledge of a range of clinical services and have an understanding of patient and public engagement and consultation.

The post holder duties will include: providing high level support to the wider senior management team and service specialist function. Supporting the team with management of projects and forward planning; acting as a point of contact for enquiries from external organisations. Providing ad-hoc business support to the senior management as and when required.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills with a keen attention to detail; have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software; work effectively in a close team setting and have the ability to prioritise their own workload. They should also be a quick learner with willingness to learn and develop an understanding of the responsibilities of the team in order to appropriately deal with queries and routine matters. A can-do attitude and forward thinking is a must for this post.
