If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

Band 4 Fixed Term to cover secondment from July 2018-March 2019 (approx.)

The Administration and Support Officer will support the Clinical Network Managers and Quality Improvement teams based at Quarry House in Leeds, LS2 7UB or Oak House in Rotherham, S66 1YY.

The Yorkshire and Humber Clinical Networks (CNs) work across Cancer, Diabetes, all age Mental Health, Dementia, and Maternity Services providing support to commissioners, in STP/sICS, CCGs and NHS England, and to clinicians to achieve improved outcomes for patients. Work is also undertaken with voluntary organisations, charities, patients and their carers. The post holder will be exposed to a wide variety of NHS and non NHS colleagues in this role.

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out a very wide range of administrative duties, including arranging complex meetings and large scale events; diary and communications management, development and maintenance of websites, electronic filing systems, drafting and preparing letters, reports, agendas, supporting papers, writing minutes and provide reception services for the department.

The successful candidate will have significant administrative/secretarial experience with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes. They will demonstrate excellent communication and prioritisation skills and the ability to work well under pressure, both in a team and on their own initiative. The role will support a variety of clinical network areas that span the whole of Yorkshire and the Humber so will need to be able to adapt to different styles and paces of working and be flexible to travel as required to meetings.

The post holder will be based in Quarry House, Leeds Centre (LS2 7UB) or Oak House in Rotherham (S66 1YY) but will be expected to travel to bases across Yorkshire and the Humber and undertake flexible hot desk working where required for which a driving licence and access to a vehicle would be considered essential.
