If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Contracts Management Practitioner to work at the Commercial Medicines Unit, NHS England.

The Commercial Medicines Unit is an integral part of the Specialised Commissioning Directorate within NHS England. It works with lead pharmacy procurement specialists to put in place and manage tenders for medicines worth £2.4bn per annum on behalf of all NHS Trusts in England.

The Commercial Medicines Unit is seeking an enthusiastic and diligent Commercial Contracts Management Practitioner with demonstrable experience in robust contract management, a good understanding of procurement in the public sector and a basic knowledge of project principles.

The successful candidate will work across all CMU’s procurement teams and support them in contract management in areas of supplier performance, the resolution of supplier and stakeholder queries and the provision of reporting and analysis of information.

A number of sites are available from which the post holder can work including Runcorn, Leeds, London and Reading.

NHS England also has a flexible working policy.

Applicants must be:

Educated to degree level or equivalent or have previous proven experience in contract management

Good stakeholder engagement skills ideally within a commercial background

We anticipate that interviews will be held week commencing 10th December 2018 however this is subject to change.
