If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

Antenatal Newborn Screening Commissioning Team Leader - Population Health Lead

Are you an experienced team leader with knowledge of commissioning NHS antenatal newborn screening programmes?

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiast, inspiring team manager to lead a team of seven experienced commissioners in Public Health Department, NHS England London Region. The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Public Health Department supporting the commissioning of safe, effective antenatal and newborn national screening programmes within London.

The role supports the business in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning and commissioning and is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery. The post holder will support the Deputy Head and PH Consultant working with internal and external clinical networks to inform work programmes.

The successful candidate will work with stakeholders across the health care economy in London and will need to demonstrate experience of change management. We are seeking an individual who has the combination of subject matter knowledge and technical skills to develop strong service delivery with the ability to provide professional expertise to the business processes for the Public Health Department or Directorate.

The post holder will be expected to have a focus on improving outcomes for patients and the public and embedding this in ‘day to day’ work with an ability to support the drive for transformation in service delivery as well as value for money.
