If the advertised role is based in London on an Agenda for Change Pay Band, it will attract a High Cost Area supplement. This supplement is not applicable to Executive or Senior Manager or Medical Leader positions. For positions offered on a part time basis, salary and any allowances will be adjusted pro rata.

NHS England South (South East) commissions a range of primary and secondary dental services for Kent, Surrey and Sussex residents and serves a population of 4.5 million people.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team that supports the Managers in the commissioning and performance management of Dental Contracts across Kent, Surrey and Sussex You will act as the point of contact in NHS England South (South East) for dental contractors in the locality, carry out the management and monitoring of contracts and in addition you will advise on dental contracting issues and signpost where appropriate.
It would be an advantage to have some specialist dental knowledge in order to advise colleagues and external contractors. However, it is likewise important to have strong management skills required to support the team in upcoming procurement exercises.
You must have a degree or equivalent vocational/professional qualification, or equivalent level of experience working at a similar level with knowledge and experience of primary care and primary care development, and of working with independent contractors within Primary Care.
You must have the capability to function well as part of a team and be able to work independently. You must have excellent interpersonal skills that will facilitate a flexible approach to problem solving and the ability to work towards equal opportunities. In addition to this you must have an excellent working knowledge of IT systems.
We are recruiting to one position. This post is a fixed term/secondment position and will be based at Wharf House, Tonbridge. However, the candidate will be expected to travel between sites to our Horley Office in Surrey and Lewes Office in Sussex.
